Former Prime Minister of Singapore has published a book (in Chinese, not his "Singapore Story". That book is called the "Collected Speeches of Lee Kuan Yew for the past 30 years", published by a Chinese Newspaper in Singapore), in which he described how the Communist Party was organized upon "oath of silence". Any member who joined the Party must not reveal the secrets of the working or else would forfeit his life. And he actually described the murder of one member who tried to get out of the Party.
One must know that LORD never allows such behaviour, "One Law for all", "Let your Yes be Yes, and No be No, anything more than that comes from evil" means one must speak the truth at all times, and everyone has equal opportunities. (Members of Secret Alliance would lie to protect their members, they would never testify the truth in courts, they agree to protect one another, right or wrong.)
Hong Kong used to enjoy "equal opportunities" for all, under British rule. When a government post was available, advertisement in the newspapers would be placed, and all applicants have to sit for an examination, then those who pass would be interviewed by a panel, and only the best were selected. Therefore Hong Kong had not been short of talents, and enjoyed great prosperity for many many years.
Hong Kong has an area of 410 square miles (roughly 20 miles by 20.5 miles), and has a population of several million (6.5 millions now), yet the Government had rarely have deficits for 150 years, and the accumulated reserve over the years is great. Why ? Because only talented people were selected for public jobs, and no partiality was practiced - whether one comes from the rich, or the poor, or the British, or the Chinese, or the Pakistanis, or ... they had equal chance (Unfortunately, the top posts were selected mostly from Britons, and not Chinese, and this was a serious drawback, and hindered the progress of Hong Kong a lot. But for lower level government jobs where examination were held, such impartiality was not very serious.)
The Governors of Hong Kong were mostly administrators from the British Colonial Office, and mostly, those Britons were recruits from Universities, and had held various jobs in various British Colonies overseas for some years, before being promoted to Governor of Hong Kong. Therefore they were capable administrators, and can run Hong Kong very well. When I was young, I received my education (up to finishing my degree in University of Hong Kong) at very low fee. And medical care was practically free. Public transport fee was very low. The administrators really knew what made a country strong - education, transport, health, housing, ...
Not so until the year when McLehose was governor. McLehose was not an administrator, but a politician. He was ambassador to China before becoming Governor of Hong Kong. When he became governor, he allowed the Communists free run. Previously, there was a Security Branch of Hong Kong, and those people would stop the communists from over-running schools etc., because if someone joined the Communists Party, those security people would summon them, and question them, and such act deter many from joining. (Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore would even put them into jail, and would not release them until they repent of their work in the dark.)
Because of McLehose' policy (co-operate with those ruling China), the Security Branch would not stop the communists, and communists overrun all schools. The education of our youths changed to that of Marx's/Lenin's beliefs - human relation is based on "what use the other has to me", "good to us or evil to us", and precepts like "love, kindness, mercy, graciousness, honesty, uprightness, ... " were not taught to school children. This coupled with the Government's absence in moral lead (Government even promoted moral decline - legalizing homosexuality, legalizing horse and lottery gambling, promoting sex education in school, and not teaching the Ten Commandments of "You shall not commit adultery"), produce lot and lot of children with no moral principles. (Government itself lacks moral principles, and would follow the evil wind of the world. Had those in Government known LORD's principles "Keep the Law => Blessing, Break the Law => curse", and pursued a rigorous policy of moral education to all people, Hong Kong should not have so much social problems nowadays.)
Not only so, because Communists had gained such control of Government, (now that they have gained control of even the Security Branch), and Communists are organized upon the precept of Secret Alliance (those who join must swear an oath of silence, and those who betray the secrets would die, and they protect their members right or wrong, and they share jobs, power, wealth together. On the face, they deceive themselves of being service to their country. Some communists really have a mind to serve, but their behaviour of "injustice, partiality towards their own, walk in darkness and not in light" is totally abhorred in the sight of LORD), they have vast influence on all people of Hong Kong.
Because the Secret Alliance is so powerful and strong, they can easily break many into submission, into subjugation to their "leadership". (Remember how we human break a horse/ass/camel into slavery - no food for a few days, or torture by noosing, "be a slave or die"). Once they have been "broken" into submission to join their rank, they swear an oath of silence too. (Hence evils are never known to the people). I myself have experienced such pressure, and one of my friends, who was an honest and good person in the beginning, had been subjected to extreme pressure that at one time he wanted to kill them all, but now he had been broken into submission, and serves them.
Bible's revelation : "... Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark of its name." [Rev 13:16-17] is partially fulfilled, in that everyone who buys or sells has to compromise with the Secret Alliance one way or another. (Note : the full prophecy will be fulfilled at a much later date, not today. Today is a small beginning of what will come in the last day. This calls for "patient endurance" of those who hold fast LORD and Jesus' teachings.)
One of the weaknesses of Hong Kong people is that they have no sense of keeping commandments. The churches fail terribly in this respect. (The Buddhists are good in keeping commandments, but they have many false precepts in their beliefs, their teachings are not 100% from LORD, the creator and Almighty) Even Jesus said plainly in [Mt 5:17-20], [Mt 19:17-19] that we have to keep commandments.
TRUE, "salvation is grace and not work" - we lack the "software" to do good before Jesus' crucifixion, but now, after Jesus' "obedient onto death on a cross", this "software to do good" is freely given to those who believe in Jesus. Therefore salvation is "freeware", "grace/free gift from LORD" and not a result of our "works" (fasting for so many days, having done so much good works, social works). Now that we have this "freeware", we are able to fulfill the requirements of Law (justice, mercy, faithfulness). And in fact, we must fulfill the requirements of Law or else we cannot stand before the judgement seat of LORD (We will be judged by the words of LORD as well as the words of Jesus in the Great Day. [John 12:48])
Because of lack of commandments to bridle behaviour, Hong Kong people do whatever they like - false dealing, lies, obeying order from men and not their conscience, ... Though mostly they are kind in heart, and are deceived into believing that lying is justified in helping people, their behaviour is totally unacceptable to LORD. LORD demands nothing short of absolute honesty and uprightness, and walk in the light. "LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEART, ALL OUR MIGHT, AND ALL OUR SOUL", i.e. do what is right in the sight of LORD with all our heart, all our might, and all our soul. And remember, LORD is TRUTH.
Some would join the Secret Alliance willingly, because of the spoil - they can get good job, good pay, and have honor and power. In general, Hong Kong people have not yet degraded to such a stage (September 2001). But this stage will come soon, because the Secret Alliance has gained control of Government, and nearly everything. To survive, one will sooner be later be tempted into that path, and once they willingly embrace the precepts of Secret Alliance, and do not regard that as evil, destruction of Hong Kong people will come. (Christians must love LORD and Jesus more than their lifes, and mustn't be partners of the dark. It is my wish that Hong Kong people would forever abhor work of darkness, and never degrade themselves into that stage of embracing Secret Alliance.)
I hope Hong Kong people would repent, and cultivate the attitude of holding fast LORD's and Jesus' teachings (including Laws and Commandments) resolutely; and firm forever in righteousness even at great cost to our comfort, our belonging, or even our life; and model our life after Jesus - who was bold to do only that was right in the sight of LORD, even at the cost of his own life.

(P.S. To do justice to McLehose, he introduced the "Independent Commission Against Corruption, ICAC", and this rooted out corruption in Hong Kong to a large extent. Corruption in Hong Kong, prior to McLehose, was rampant. Complaint of corruption was investigated by Police, and Police would usually be reluctant to punish their own men. McLehose saw this, he passed a series of legislation, setting up ICAC, an independent body from the Police, giving it power to investigate corruption both in the private and public sectors. At first, the people in ICAC carried no guns, and they encountered great difficulties when investigating, and even some would threaten their lifes. McLehose quickly passed a law, enabling people in ICAC to carry guns to defend themselves. Investigation of corruption proceeded smoothly, and over the years, corruption is suppressed.)
[Mt 5:17-20] [Mt 19:17-19] [John 12:46-48]
Jesus : Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life"
And he (Jesus) said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments"
He said to him, "Which?"
And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness. Honour your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbour as yourself."
Jesus : I have come as light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.
