Two days ago saw the collapse of World Trade Center, and thousands of people perished within minutes.
There were some present at that very time who told him (Jesus) of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered thus? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.' [Luke 13:1-5]
If you believe Jesus, and repent of your past wrongs, and promise to do what is lawful and right from this moment onwards, LORD will forgive all you past sins. (Note : you may ask someone to baptize you, or if there is no one available, you may baptize yourself by immersing yourself completely in water, and say in your heart, "LORD GOD, please baptize me in your name, in your son's name, and in the name of the spirit of truth. Amen", then rise up from the water).
Jesus did what was right in the sight of LORD all through his life. He was under great pressure - the Pharisees and the scribes and lawyers were following him and finding fault with him, (imagine the pressure in Jesus' heart). He escaped death several times (once they wanted to push him over the cliff, several times they were about to stone him).
Say, if Jesus bowed down to the scribes and Pharisees and lawyers, and joined them instead. Would they persecute him ? No. But then, Jesus would have lost his soul, and cannot be blameless before the Judgement seat of LORD.
Therefore, we should repent and walk the path Jesus walked. Modeling our lifes after Jesus. If we do so and endure to the end, we will be resurrected like Jesus to a better world.
Jesus : Then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them; but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, "Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him." Then all those maidens rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." But the wise replied, "Perhaps there will not be enough for us and for you; go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves." And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut. Afterward the other maidens came also, saying, "Lord, lord, open to us." But he replied, "Truly, I say to you, I do not know you." Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. [Mt 25:1-13]
We should meditate upon LORD's and Jesus' teachings constantly in our heart, and be thoroughly familiar with them. When trouble comes, and when everything is in confusion, there will be no chance for us to learn then, and we will not know what to do and will perish.
We must walk the path Jesus walked. Do what is right in the sight of LORD with all our heart and with all our might and with all our soul. Bear the cross to follow Jesus everyday, and endure to the end, and love LORD and Jesus more than our life.
Did Jesus do anything in the dark ?
No. Therefore, we should not do anything in the dark too. What we do is known to GOD, and we cannot hide anything. Therefore we should do things that can pass the scrutiny of all people.
NEVER JOIN SECRET ALLIANCE, which upholds "code of silence" and promises their members power and wealth, and anyone who betrays their secret work will be killed. If you have joined them, repent, and get out. Live a new life like Jesus. Though you may be killed because of this, you will be resurrected. But know that if LORD wants to preserve you, you may not die. In the old times, when King Saul sought David's life, David escaped many near-deaths. Hence we may see LORD's power to save.
LORD will destroy all in the secret alliance, so get out now.
LORD, as eternal truth, will not change. Therefore LORD's promises can be trusted.
LORD : " ... for I the LORD your GOD am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments." [Ex 20:5-6]
LORD to Joshua : " ... This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go." [Joshua 1:2-9]
LORD :If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. ....

We should know Laws and Commandments of LORD and walk in them. But that should not be burdensome, knowing that LORD will not enforce Law like the Pharisees, nor like the present day "Rule by Law" (NOT "Rule of Law"), those who find faults and would condemn the guiltless. LORD is merciful and would not condemn the guiltless. LORD considered David having done no sin other than the sin in Uriah. [2 Samuel 11]
But four commandments given by the Apostles of Jesus and elders in Jerusalem, we must observe, " ... For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things : that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.' [Act 15:27-29]
Congregation should tolerate no iniquity among members. There should not be one Achan [Joshua 7:1] among the members. For those who sin, it must be dealt with in kindness and in mercy and in love and in justice and in meekness according to the teachings of Jesus,
Jesus :If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. [Mt 18:15-17]

Everyone should have the mind that we do only that is right in the sight of LORD (though that may bring death to us, sometimes), never consider things in the light of good or evil.
Collective counseling is essential in reaching correct decision, one that is right in the sight of LORD. All the congregation should know LORD's Laws, and what they decide must never be one that breaks LORD's Laws.
No one in the congregation should pursue after fleshy passions (sex, good food, etc.). Instead, purse after the name of LORD (merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, abounding in faithfulness, forgiving, jealous against iniquity/evil) and such things considered right in the sight of LORD.
