Does the temperament of Jesus differ from that of Jehovah ?

Theologians would tell you that Jehovah is extremely harsh, whereas Jesus is extremely lenient.

Here I quote the sayings and deeds of Jesus, and you judge whether the personality of Jesus is the opposite of Jehovah, or they are the same in temperament.

Jesus warned a man who had been sick for 38 years, then recovered, that he sin no more, else worse would befall him [John 5:1-15].

[John 5:1-15]

After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water, for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the waters stepped in was made whole, with whatsoever disease he was holden. And a certain man was there, who had been thirty and eight years in his infirmity. When Jesus saw him lying, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wouldest thou be made whole? The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Arise, take up thy bed, and walk. And straightway the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked. Now it was the sabbath on that day. So the Jews said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for thee to take up thy bed. But he answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. They asked him, Who is the man that said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? But he that was healed knew not who it was; for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in the place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing befall thee. The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole.

Can you guess the character of the man ?

GOD punished him with sickness for 38 years, and Jesus, seeing him, had mercy on him and healed him. Jesus also warned him not to sin again. Did he give heed ? Or did he continue to sin ? What would become of him ?

Pilate killed some Galileans and used their blood in sacrifice. Jesus told them their fate would be similar if they did not repent [Luke 13:1-5].

[Luke 13:1-5]

There were some present at that very time who told him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered thus?   I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem ? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

When Jesus was carrying the cross to Golgotha, the women of Jerusalem cried. But Jesus told them much worse would befall them and their children [Luke 23:26-31].

[Luke 23:26-31]

And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus. And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him. But Jesus turning to them said,  "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck! Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us'; and to the hills, 'Cover us.' For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"

If you read the history of Israel after the death of Jesus, you would notice that unrest grew and grew, deaths increased and increased, till the Israelites were wiped out by the Romans.

Jesus told people of incidents in the past, of GOD's mercy only to those who fear Him and who behaved well [Luke 4:25-27].

[Luke 4:25-27]

Jesus :  " ... But in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land; and Elijah was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian."

If you are unfamiliar with the acts of Elijah and Elisha, of the widow and Naaman, you should read the Old Testament.

Jesus told the Scribes and Pharisees that woes would come to them, because of their many evils. The word "woes", Jesus used many times [Matthew 23].

[Matthew 23]

Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat: all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, these do and observe: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not. Yea, they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger. But all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, and love the chief place at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called of men, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, even he who is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, even the Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, even while for a pretence ye make long prayers: therefore ye shall receive greater condemnation.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is become so, ye make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves.

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, that say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor. Ye fools and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that hath sanctified the gold? And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, he is a debtor. Ye blind: for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. And he that sweareth by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. And he that sweareth by the heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these ye ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone. Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside thereof may become clean also.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but inwardly ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous, and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell? Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Peter killed 2 persons -- Ananias and his wife [Acts 5:1-10]. If Jesus did not approve of that act, would Peter be able to kill them just by his words ?

[Acts 5:1-10]

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, did it not remain thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thy power? How is it that thou hast conceived this thing in thy heart? thou has not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost: and great fear came upon all that heard it. And the young men arose and wrapped him round, and they carried him out and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yea, for so much. But Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to try the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them that have buried thy husband are at the door, and they shall carry thee out. And she fell down immediately at his feet, and gave up the ghost: and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.

The communists teach people that one should spy on one's fellow people, and report to the Party. So betrayal is widespread, that children betray parents, friends betray friends. What did Jesus say of betrayal [Mark 14:17-21] ? Can you guess the ultimate punishment that would befall on Judas ?

(The communists wouldn't have done this, has there been no one who has absolute power and who lusts for power).

[Mark 14:17-21]

And when it was evening he came with the twelve. And as they were at table eating, Jesus said : "Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me." They began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one after another, "Is it I?" He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, one who is dipping bread in the same dish with me. For the Son of man goes as it is written of him, but  woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born. "

Jesus warned of those who were once cleansed, but later succumb to sin and be overcome by evil [Matthew 12:43-45]. Jesus taught us to resist sin resolutely : "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; ...; if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away, ..." [Matthew 5:29-30]

[Matthew 12:43-45]

Jesus :  "When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, but he finds none. Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and brings with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. So shall it be also with this evil generation."

Many "christians", those who believe "theology", and learn not, walk not the teachings of GOD, of Jesus, have many evil spirits in them, yet they know not.

The evil spirits lure them and overcome them, and they are not aware; because they belittle the teachings of GOD, of Jesus, thereby have no defence against evil spirits.

On Judgment Day, Jesus will divide Christians into two groups, one group will go to eternal life, one group will go to eternal punishment. Do you act like sheep, or act like goat ? [Matthew 25:31-46]

(The sheep are obedient to the teachings of GOD, of Jesus, whereas the goats act on their own will, thinking that their salvation is assured because theology says so, and are not obedient to the teachings of GOD, of Jesus.)

[Matthew 25:31-46]

But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me. And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

Jesus plainly said that only those who does the will of GOD will enter heaven. If you do not keep the laws/commandments of GOD, do you think you are doing the will of GOD and can go to heaven ? [Matthew 7:21-23]

[Matthew 7:21-23]

Jesus :  "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.'

Now let us compare the temperament of Jehovah as recorded in the Old Testament, I will focus on what Jehovah did during Exodus.

  1. Jehovah slayed many who worshipped the golden calf [Exodus 32].

They who worshipped the "calf" worshipped "calf spirit".

If you look at a young calf, you would see that it has a mind of its own, and loves pleasure. It acts unrestrained.

Many of the youngsters nowaday have this "calf spirit".

  2. Jehovah slayed many who were not satisfied with the food Jehovah gave them, and craved for meat. Jehovah wouldn't have slayed them had they been not so greedy for meat [Numbers 11:32-33].

    [Numbers 11:32-33]

And the people rose all that day, and all night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails; he who gathered least gathered ten homers; and they spread them out for themselves all around the camp. While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.

(Note : 1 homer is equal to 10 ephah, and 1 ephah is about 12 litre.)

  3. Jehovah killed the Israelites who were sent to spy out the land of Canaan, but they, in their reporting, discouraged the people and made them rebel against Jehovah [Numbers 13,14].

In this incident, Jehovah commended Caleb : "But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it." [Numbers 14:24]

As of all the adults (except Joshua), GOD decreed that they would, in 40 years, perished in the wilderness.

In the Old Testament, you would find persons similar to Caleb who followed Jehovah fully -- Abraham, Ruth, Samuel, David, ....

  4. Jehovah killed 14700+ persons when they rebelled against Jehovah, following the lead of rebels Dathan, Korah, Abiram [Numbers 16].

Jehovah is CREATOR and LORD of heaven and earth, and is PROVIDENCE. His rule is simple, that we would be blessed if we keep His laws/commandments, and be cursed if we break them. His laws and commandments are nothing but kind to our fellow people, animal, trees and land -- our duties towards other creations of GOD. You have better learn them, because if you break them because of ignorance, you still would suffer.

  5. Jehovah sent serpents that killed many people when they murmured against Him, but cured them if they showed faith and be obedient [Numbers 21].

Jehovah told them that if they look at the bronze serpent on a pole, they would recover. They is an extremely simple act that those who have faith in Jehovah and are obedient will do, and those who have no faith in Jehovah will not, and thus perished.

  6. Jehovah killed 24000, when they sacrificed to the gods of Moabites (Gods of Moabites are in truth fallen angels/evil spirits), partook in their sacrificial feasts, and had sex with the Moabite girls [Number 25].

The first of the Ten Commandments is that we should worship no god but Jehovah, for the world is full of Satan/fallen angels/evil spirits/.... They are invisible and are very dangerous to us if we worship them and obey them. (Also that we should not commit adultery).

Thus we see the temperament of Jesus is the same as that of Jehovah.

But Jesus has a human body.

Jesus was born of Mary, but Jesus' father is the SPIRIT OF JEHOVAH.

Because he was born of the SPIRIT OF JEHOVAH, he inherited not the spirit of ADAM where evil prevails. In Jesus, good prevails.

Jesus is Jehovah in human form, the condescension of GOD -- to show us how to live the life of a human, how to conquer death : have full faith in Jehovah and obedient to the laws/commandments of Jehovah onto death.

Jesus showed us that there is after-life, resurrection and judgement, paradise and hell, through his personal example.

The fact that Jesus did not kill people as Jehovah does (but Jesus sanctioned Peter to kill Ananias and his wife), was that when Jesus assumed the role of a human, Jesus acted in what a human should act.

Jesus' role as Jehovah is GOD of heaven and earth, Jesus' role as a human is one humble human being.

THE SPIRIT OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF JEHOVAH.

THE SPIRIT OF JESUS IS THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE WORLD WAS CREATED BY JESUS WITH THE SPIRIT OF JEHOVAH.

IT WAS JESUS WHO GAVE MOSES THE LAWS/COMMANDMENTS.

AND JESUS LIVED UP THE LAWS/COMMANDMENTS HE GAVE.

JESUS IS GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.

JESUS WILL BE THE JUDGE ON JUDGEMENT DAY.

REPENT AND COME TO JESUS, OBEY HIS TEACHINGS IN THE GOSPEL OF [MATTHEW] [MARK] [LUKE] [JOHN].

IMITATE JESUS (i.e. EAT THE FLESH OF JESUS AND DRINK THE BLOOD OF JESUS.)

RELY ON, AND TRUST IN JESUS.

LISTEN NOT TO THE TEACHINGS OF THEOLOGIANS, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE ENSNARED IN A PIT WITH NO WATER ONTO PERDITION.

SHUN EVIL, DEPART FROM EVIL.
