If we throw an apple up, it will fall down. This is Newton's Law of Gravitation, force F = G m1m2/d2. Everyone who throws an apple up will know it will go down.
If we boil water, water will evaporate and escape as steam. We would not expect water to remain there, when heat is applied.
If we pour acid into alkali, it will neutralize.
Thus there are physical laws and chemical laws.
LORD taught us not to eat unclean things [Lev 11], and not to touch unclean things, [Num 19:16, "Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days."], if we heed not LORD's teachings, shall we not become ill ?
Bi-metallic strip, which is used
widely in temperature control, is control without intelligence.
Governor in steam-engine in the early days, is again control without intelligence, (i.e. if the rotational speed is too
great, centrifugal force will lift the stopper up, allowing steam to escape, thus lowering
the pressure. If speed is too slow, pressure will be high, and the output power will increase, making the speed increase.)
Consider modern day washing machines. It will measure the weight of clothes, then decide the water level, and the power required. It is done by a micro-processor with programmed intelligence.
In a nuclear power plant, there are numerous microprocessors connected to numerous sensors, to monitor every aspect of the operation. Adjustments will be made automatically. But are we to leave all to micro-processors ? No. Human operators and supervisors are there too, because the operation is too dangerous to be entrusted all to microprocessors.
Do you think LORD will create angels to monitor every aspect of human affairs ?
LORD told us plainly (throughout the Old Testament) that "Do the Law => Blessing; Break the Law => Curse." LORD will not lie, nor fail in His promise. LORD's words are upheld by angels he created. This is control with intelligence.
Hence we cannot expect that we break LORD's Laws, and curse and mishaps would not befall on us.
Also, if we observe LORD's Laws, we would not expect situation to befall onto us without LORD's prior approval. [Mt 10:29, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will."]
Let each of us fear the LORD, as well as put our trust in Him.
