King Solomon loved women. He got one wife, then another, then another. Finally, "he had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines; ... " [1 King 11:3]. Because his heart was turned away from LORD, the kingdom was taken away from his son, only 1 tribe was left to his son.
There was described in the Bible, two girls who loved sex (though it was a parable, but I think it reflects many real life situations). They loved "good-looking, strong" men, and had sex with many, and were not satisfied, and they kept on having more and more. Until one day, they were robbed and killed by those who once had sex with them. [Eze 22].
Many young people would pursue after drugs, because these would give them "wonderful feelings". They give themselves to "pleasure" - dance unceasingly in rave parties. They take one kind of drug, then another, and inhale Nitrous oxide, the "laughing gas". In the long run, they ruin their health and their mental power.
I also know of a man, who loved to eat. Because when he was young, he was poor. And when he was able to earn, and earned a lot, he ate much good food. He vomited on many occasions simply because his stomach could not take in the food.

The first commandment LORD gave human is "do not eat, nor touch the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil", the second commandment is that we circumcize our fleshy passions [Gen 17:10, Eze 44:9].
Jesus taught us , "seek first his kingdom and righteousness" [Mt 6:33], therefore, we should pursue after the name of LORD : "merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, forgiving, and jealous against iniquity/evil", and the peaceful, loving, harmonious, co-existence of our fellow citizens.
LORD taught the ancient Israelites in exile, "But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare." [Jer 29:7] This is a good teaching even to us.
LORD asked Job lot of questions on "weather, zoology, astro-physics, ... " [Job 38, 39, 40, 41] I think LORD wants us to learn "natural science, fundamental physics, ...".
Therefore, these we should pursue after, but not "fleshy passions".
